ABOUT US
With both of them coming from a lineage of over 6 generations of jewelers, Nita and Ravi bonded over a common passion for jewelry when they first met and fell in love in their hometown of Jaipur, Rajasthan. In fact, Ravi’s family lineage has been written about in various publications, including “Emerald City” by Lawrence A Babb (pages 172-173).
From Vision to Craft: The Aakaar Journey
Now having been married for over 30 years and having worked in the diamond district in New York City for 20 years, they decided to embark on a new journey together in 2012. They founded Aakaar Inc. with the aim to bring something they call “high value jewelry” to their customers. At Aakaar, while we handcraft products that are unique, we place an equal emphasis on affordability. Each piece has been meticulously designed and created with a singular goal in mind, to bring elegant and bespoke designs which can be enjoyed by all.
